During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to water supplies, per reports from local authorities.

Meanwhile, a young boy was lost their life in a separate aerial attack in the southeastern region in the southern area, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, European nations and the Group of Seven - in delivering air defence systems and applying sanctions," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty missiles struck the country's power systems, labeling such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were striving to restore power.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under intense attacks overnight. A seven-year-old child died and multiple civilians were injured.

The attacks succeed periods of aerial attacks in the area, parts of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The whole nation is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were preparing for additional strikes.
